. About Linda Fox --------------Artist and Illustrator
Linda has worked as an artist most of her life, drawing, painting, designing, etc., starting with art lessons at the age of five. In college, she worked in the theatre scene shops of both Mesa Community College and Weber State College (now University). She took some time off for marriage and family. After divorcing, she returned to school as a single mother of three, to finish her bachelor’s degree in Studio Art at Arizona State University. She is now happily remarried, with two more children, a son-in-law and a beautiful grandson. After ASU, Linda took art classes at the Mesa Arts Center, the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Mesa Community College, and presently, Scottsdale Artists' School. She has been the pupil of some extraordinary artists including; Jim Garrison, Linda Tracey Brandon, Chris Saper, Gabor Svagrik, William Whitaker, Larry Charles, Red Rohall and Dan Fogel. In 2003, Linda had the opportunity of designing for the Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous. Her work was included in the 2006 and 2007 “Best and Brightest” shows at Scottsdale Artist’s School. She is a member of the Arizona Artist’s Guild where she was voted November 2007 “Artist of the Month.” She is also a member of the East Valley Artist’s Guild and the Douglas Art Association. Linda is presently teaching art classes for the City of Chandler, Parks and Recreation and occasionally does graphic design work for podcastdesigns.com. Linda’s son, Charlie, has undergone two heart transplants and is diagnosed with mild autism. She is active in promoting organ donor awareness and acts as disabilities awareness counselor to the local Boy Scout troop. She works as an Art Masterpiece volunteer at her children’s elementary school.
